History

Hamilton & Inches was founded in 1866, by James Hamilton and Robert Inches who were uncle and nephew respectively.  The Company remained in the Inches family until being bought by Asprey Garrard in 1992: a Management Buyout then took it back into Scottish hands in 1998, with the store at 52 Beauchamp Place, London being added in 2000.  The Company is run by its three executive directors, James Fraser, Stephen Paterson and Denzil Skinner.

Hamilton & Inches founding principles were those of craftsmanship and service and these are as important today as they were in the 19th Century.  Independent, Scottish, a traditional jeweller stocking original, fine jewellery, both classic and contemporary; its own hand-made silver and one of the finest collections of luxury watch brands in Europe, Hamilton & Inches is that rare thing - a British house of luxury.
