Senior Stock Analyst

THE ROLE

The Senior Stock Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to join Hamilton & Inches. You will maintain and manage the company’s stock in the most efficient manner, minimise its stock holding and maximise the return on investment. You will manage the supply chain in order to drive profit in line with agreed financial and category strategies

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Specifically

Manage stock deliveries into the business ensuring items are correctly itemized and stocked onto the system before being issued to the store.
Working with marketing, manage stock to ensure it is online for retail.
Monitor sales performance against plan and propose appropriate corrective actions as relevant, communicating to senior management on a monthly basis.
Providing monthly and weekly sales reports Identify growth opportunities within the business through sales performance.
Propose increases in margin through new sourcing strategies and methods.
Monitor, analyse and manage company stock to optimize sales, including old stock lines, appro and lay-by stock.
Analyse fast/ slow moving items and obsolete stock in order to be able to report trends.
Reforecast sales on a monthly basis to optimise inventory planning and stock holding.
Ensuring stock availability for key planned launches and that post-launch replenishment dates are met.
Review brand/supplier performance and profitability on a quarterly basis.
Provide sales and trend data for negotiations with suppliers to improve discounts, commercial terms and influence product/ range selection.
Ensure supplier/brand review pack is produced and ensure trade meetings review recommendations and take appropriate action.
Raise purchase order requests for authorisation by Board members, and manage on-time delivery from suppliers.
Manage range/ product markdown for underperforming products/ranges as necessary by reducing minimum stocks, purchasing plans and reforecast.
Manage regular 6-month stock inventories.
Mange regular team meetings to review product and store performance and agree team priorities and any changes to plans.
Overseeing training to all staff in terms of new stock processes Ensure effective communication to all levels both internally and externally.
Provide regular briefings to all team members on business priorities and progress.
